What is this thing you call ISSUU?

ISSUU.com promotes itself with the phrases "You Publish" and "Read the World. Publish the World." As we understand it, it is a networking site where individuals and businesses can easily convert their publications into a virtual "magazine form" that can then be easily shared, embedded, e-mailed, posted, even printed. We create our PDF files, load them up, and ISSUU stores them and presents them. It also adds us to their search engines for viewers browsing the ISSUU site. Their services are completely free. LINKS TO OUR PUBLICATIONS CAN BE SEEN THROUGH ISSUU - SIGN-UP IS NOT REQUIRED.

How does it work?

When you click on the smaller, embedded animated image (the mini-mag image with the flipping pages) as it appears on both our HOME PAGE as well as the CURRENT ISSUE PAGE you will be taken to a customized "viewer" to see a larger version of our publication in magazine form. This will open up in a new window. This is NOT A POP-UP. If your computer recognizes it as a POP-UP, you will have to allow it to display the new window.

Once you are on the ISSUU page with our publication displayed in the viewer, there are many options. By just clicking on the pages of the publication, they will "turn." There are additional navigation buttons just above the publication. Please refer to the map image below for referrence.

You will see our profile pic and username ("cellasro") in the right-hand corner of the viewer page as well. The other links on the page are GO TO PROFILE (you will be taken to OUR profile); UPLOAD DOCUMENT (this is a trial for you if interested - you may upload a PDF to see how it looks; however, to save it in ISSUU, you will have to go through Sign-Up procedures);

MORE (this will take you to the ISSUU.COM homepage where you may view other publications if interested).

Are you promoting ISSUU and getting paid on the sly?

HA HA! We, at CEllA's Round Trip, think that ISUU.com is a very cool way of sharing publications online. It's a great venue for publishers, writers, and artists to display their work and to network. However, we are not paid to promote the site in any way. We have a log-in account just like everyone else. We understand that when we embed files into our main website from our ISSUU.com account, ISSUU receives promotion, of course. If this has encouraged you to check out more of ISSUU.com and to actually sign-up for an account, we will not receive any extra perks or even a nod of the head. For now, it's free space and it offers a cool Flash transformation (the flipping pages and easy upload) that we'd rather not take the time with creating ourselves. We have enough work to do. If this methodology and/or ISSUU.com itself should cease to exist (seeing as it is totally free and uploads are unlimited - such freedoms may be shortlived), we will find other means.
